"Working together to empower this segment of our community with the ability to refuse to be a victim" - Debi Nixon
A team of experienced professionals from counseling, theologians, security experts, news media and law enforcement personnel has been assembled and created a dynamic program that is currently being taught as part of our community engagement series.
Since the inception of the program, more than eighty organizations in the greater Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex have participated in this important and timely safety seminar.
The college is hosting seminars in Wills Point, Van Alstyne, Ennis, Houston, Oklahoma City and Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
"It doesn't matter how large or small your church is,
it matters how safe you want your church to be."
Pastor Mike Sneed - Loving Fellowship Baptist Church
Purpose Statement
To provide faith-based organizations with information and skills training which is feasible, relevant, timely, and viable in addressing the safety needs of our church communities by ensuring a safe worship environment through planning, prevention, preparation, and prayer.
The training curriculum will address areas such as law enforcement relations, emotional recovery, vicarious liabilities and other topics that church leadership has deemed necessary to enhance church safety protocols.
We highly encourage pastors, counselors, ushers and greeters, parking lot attendants, hospitality, and church safety directors to attend the course.
Each participant receives certification of training for completing 16 hours of certified continuing education training.
